Porting Numbers

You can bring your existing business numbers to Vocalised quickly and securely using our in-portal porting process. This includes a digital Letter of Authority (LOA)


⚠️ [Admin-only] Porting is only available to administrators in the Vocalised Portal.


How to Port Your Number(s)

  1. Go to the Vocalised Portal > Numbers > Porting
  2. Complete the short porting form:
    • Enter the number(s) you wish to port
    • Choose the current provider and type (landline or mobile)
    • Add the site/billing address if required
  3. A Letter of Authority (LOA) will be automatically generated and signed on-screen in the Vocalised Portal
  4. Once signed, the porting charge will appear in your basket
  5. After payment is confirmed, Vocalised will submit the request to your current provider

For porting, we support geographic numbers (01, 02), and non-geographic numbers 03 and 08 only.


What You Need to Provide

  • Customer details (company name, account number, contact info)
  • Current service provider name and the number range holder (if different)
  • Installation address (for the numbers being ported)
  • Number(s) to be ported, and whether they are single line or part of a DDI range

What Happens Next

  • You will receive a proposed port date via email
  • Vocalised will notify you when the number has been added to your account
  • Once live, you can assign the number to a user or feature from the Numbers section

The LOA is valid for 6 months, but the signature must be dated within 3 months of submission


Important Porting Info

  • No Downtime: You can use a temporary number until the port completes
  • Line Services: Broadband or Redcare on a number will cease if ported. Please check with your existing provider
  • Exit Fees: You may be charged by your current provider for early termination or port-out
  • Port Reversal: Ports can be reversed within 30 days if your new provider cooperates
  • Transfer Lock: Once ported, numbers cannot be moved again for 90 days

Unhappy Path (Port Rejected)

If your port is rejected (e.g. due to wrong address or missing data):

  • Vocalised will notify you with the reason
  • You will need to update the form and generate a new LOA
  • We will resubmit on your behalf

Admins can view port history and download the LOA at any time from the portal


Porting Out (Leaving Vocalised)

  • You must request your port code (PAC or DDI range form)
  • Once submitted by the gaining provider, we will release the number

Porting charges will always be displayed and confirmed at checkout.


We do not support porting for other types of numbers currently this includes international numbers and other non-geographic, premium or specialist numbers.
